OUR VALUES - COMMUNITY - Awe

Acts 2:42-end, Acts 4:32-end

We continue to think about these two passages from Acts. the two passages tell us something of what a revival comunity looks like. The first passage says 'Everyone was filled with awe and many wonders and miraculous signs we done by the Apostles." The second says with great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection."

Our community as a Church should make people look on in awe and wonder at us. Most people outside the church, if asked about what is church like, they might use words like boring, irrelevant, hypocritical etc. Not very positive words! That makes it all the more important for us to ensure that we create a community is obviously different from people expectations and produces different emotions.

Think also about how you speak about Church to those who chose not to belong to one. Do you speak positively or negatively about church? We can easily take church for granted and become blind to the good things that God is doing in and through his people. We all like to focus on the negative don't we? The thing is, if we can't speak of the church with 'awe', why on earth would anyone else!

Let's create a church that leaves people amazed and awestruck, that points people to our amazing, awesome wonderful God.
